Hello and welcome to My Doodle Puppy! I'm Marlene, and my journey with dogs began on our family farm in Idaho, where my love for animals first blossomed. When I later settled in Salt Lake City, with my husband, we embraced the joy of adopting a Maltipoo, which led us on an unexpected voyage.
We quickly learned that finding a healthy, happy puppy from reliable breeders was like navigating a maze filled with backyard breeders and potential scams. This realization struck a chord. We envisioned a world where this uncertainty didn't exist, where adopting a puppy meant peace of mind and guaranteed quality.
That dream turned into the creation of My Doodle Puppy. We began with Maltipoos and crafted a list of qualities we desired in a breeder but found lacking elsewhere. This included an extended hereditary health guarantee, rigorous health testing, an early neuro stimulation program, temperament testing, and genuine guidance in selecting the ideal puppy for various lifestyles.
As our standards set us apart, our program rapidly expanded, and soon, we were managing an ever-growing waitlist. But with growth, we faced a crucial decision: How could we meet this demand without compromising the health, happiness, and well-being of our beloved momma and papa dogs?
Enter our Guardian Program. To uphold our high standards amidst increasing demand, we initiated this program with the support of family and close friends. Our breeding dogs live with these guardian families, where they are cherished as part of the family, alongside children and other pets. This loving environment not only ensures the well-being of our adult dogs but also positively influences the temperament of their puppies, especially crucial during their first eight weeks with their mother.
Additionally, we established partner homes for the whelping of puppies, all under our care and guided by the expertise of our veterinarian. This approach has been pivotal in allowing us to expand without sacrificing the standards that have become our hallmark.
As our reputation for exceptional standards and care grew, we began to hear from families with specific breed preferences. Many expressed a keen interest in Cockapoos and Cavapoos. Recognizing this need, we carefully expanded our breeding program to include these breeds, initially starting with a few select litters.
